We just posted some new shows on…where else…our shows page! It’s been a long winter and we can’t wait to get back out on the road. We will be announcing more shows soon. Thanks! Party on, Wayne.
The Deli Magazine in Chicago has us in a poll for one of their best artists of 2009. We could use a few votes…Click here to vote for Treaty of Paris!

We just launched our new online store with our hometown friends, Benchmark Merchandising. We have some new t-shirt designs, a zip hoodie and of course our new Currents EP for sale. Check it out here.

Today is the day…You can get the new six-song EP on iTunes, Rhapsody, Napster, eMusic and Amazon. We worked so hard on these songs over the past year, and we hope you enjoy listening to the results as much as we enjoy the process of making music. Thanks to Dan & Augie with Audio is King and Christian & Mike with Goldmill for helping us see this project through.
This afternoon, we will be celebrating our EP Release Day with a special performance at JBTV in Chicago along with some of our friends and fans. JBTV is available online via podcast subscription on the Apple iTunes store and at youtube.com/jbtvonlinedotcom
JBTV airs in Chicago on Cable 25 on Wednesdays at 9pm, Thursdays at 8pm and Sundays at midnight. Check out JBTVonline.com for more info.
Wondering what we mean when we say the term “EP” instead of “CD” or “album?” Look no further!
Alternativepress.com reviewed the Currents EP this week. The review starts with “If you feel that too many records of recent have lacked hooks, it’s because Chicago’s Treaty Of Paris stole them all.” And it only gets better from there. Thank you to Alternative Press for the positive feedback. Click here to read the full review.
Hello!
It has been brought to our attention that the guy in the picture has been burning leaked copies of our new EP and selling them to people on the streets of Chicago. Seriously!?!?! We didn’t know about it until someone emailed us. If this shady-looking guy comes up to you on the street outside of a show, please do not take anything that he has to offer.
We are very proud of our new EP and it will be available at our January 9th show for $5. If you can’t make the show (You haven’t booked your flight yet?! Come on!), the EP will be available beginning January 12th on iTunes, Amazon, etc.
We want as many people to hear our music as possible, but we don’t want jerks taking advantage of our friends and fans and ripping people off.

The jerk in question…

We are working on a photo slideshow for our January 9th show at Metro and we need your Treaty of Paris pics! We want pictures with us, live shots of us and pictures of you and your friends at a Treaty of Paris show. So search through your old picture folders, your digital cameras, or scan in those non-digital photos and email them to treatypics@yahoo.com. Send early and send often, and don’t be shy…your pics will be shown onstage at Metro!

This is an example of the type of stuff we’d like to see from you! Just CLICK on the link for this ZIP file and it should download automatically: treaty_fan_flyer.zip
In the ZIP you’ll find a Photoshop file, and in that you’ll find everything you need to easily create a flyer. We’ve gone ahead and included our official logo, the information for the show, and our heads pre-cut out, just to get you started. Have at it. Get as wacky and creative as you’d like, but try not to be offensive to anyone.
When you’re done, email a web-quality JPEG to fanflyer@treatyofparismusic.com
Please note, the image will be resized to 500px wide by 350px high, so we can fit them all on the page. We’ll include code you can copy and paste to add any of the flyers anyone creates, to your blog, website, myspace, whatever you’d like!
We are going to start posting flyers this week. There is no deadline, but submit something early before someone steals your idea…
