I had a crazy dream last night about winning tickets to see a Green Day concert and showing up and instead of Green Day onstage it was Metallica! What a twist. Then I woke up. 

On the last tour, Yellowcard left behind an entire bottle of laundry detergent. Us being the resourceful, thrifty and dirty people that we are, decided to not let that bottle of Tide go to waste. Today, we put that bottle to use and do some laundry. Clean clothes smell nice.

I am very excited to play these Warped tour dates coming up. We try to take advantage of every opportunity that gets thrown our way so we will running around these parking lots cooking like your brain on drugs trying to hustle those CDs and hustle that merch. Sweet Dreams Sucker booty shorts, anyone? 

I just woke up from a night of sleeping in the van and that "Sure Shot" song of Yellowcard's is in my head. It crashed my dream party. 

 We all had our first experience in the Big Easy last night.  Beads, beers, drunk people throwing up on themselves, girls in too-short miniskirts dancing with guys in light pink button down shirts, khakis and backwards golf ball company baseball caps, 80s covers bands, singers of 80s cover bands making out with a drunk mom, bumping into members of other bands on the tour, getting "the bus card" pulled on us when we started engaging the girls they were with in conversation, high fiving some girl and her friends as she turned 18 at midnight on Bourbon Street, buying a Corona at a walk-in daquiri place just to use the washroom, eating two Krystal burgers (bootleg White Castle) and not looking back, seeing some very beautiful women on the arms of total douchebag guys, and walking around in awe of all the spectacles and distractions.

The past week of shows has been really fun, but also exhausting. In order to save money, we have been driving overnight from city to city. This means we have not been sleeping very much, or very well. Showers have become an occasional treat as well. Ah, the joys of touring! You definitely have to be "cut out" for this line of work and I think we are, poor hygiene and sleep deprivation aside. 

So far, the day off has been full of catching up on computer work, as well as catching up on what is going on with the outside world. We saw Spill Canvas make their big appearance on TRL, and PlayRadioPlay's album came out today, so that's exciting for them. As for us, our shows on this tour have been very well-received and we seem to be winning over a lot of new people. Hopefully they keep coming out to our show. 

 We are at a Days Inn right now and I have been told there is a Red Lobster nearby. Have you ever had their rolls? They are the most amazing thing ever and apparently they are one of the top worst things you can eat at a restaurant. Oh well. In moderation, I suppose...
